About

He graduated from Eastern Mediterranean University, Faculty of Communication, Department of Radio-TV and Cinema in 2002. He completed his Master’s degree at Marmara University in 2006 and his PhD in Arts at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University in 2018, both in the Institute of Fine Arts, Department of Photography. He assisted photographers Wilbert Skip Norman and Coşkun Aral between 2000-2005. He was one of the founders of Galata Photography Academy in Istanbul. He participated in many group exhibitions, made photo presentations and delivered workshops and seminars at various associations and universities. He also held exhibitions at home and abroad, won prizes and served as a jury member in various photography competitions. His photographs has been published in local and foreign newspapers and magazines. He focuses on people in his photography. He created photography projects related to Gypsies and Maronites. He also created a documentary photography project about Turkish TIR drivers. He photographed European countries and wrote travel articles. He has been photo editor of the book ‘Kadir Kaba Seyreyleyen ve Seyreylenen Bir Alem’, and has consulted the book ‘The Origin of Turkish Cypriot Press Photography’.
