Dr. Nazia Nawaz completed her Ph.D. in 2013 at the School of Fashion and Textiles, RMIT University, Australia, and a bachelor’s degree in Apparel Manufacturing Technology in 2004 at the National Textile University, Pakistan. She is an experienced professional with a demonstrated history of over twelve years working in higher education at leading international academic institutions such as RMIT University, Australia; University of Sharjah, UAE; and College of Fashion and Design, UAE. She continues to write, present and teach and has authored and co-authored several research papers published in international peer-reviewed journals. She has presented internationally in China, Spain, Hong Kong, Switzerland, United Arab Emirates, and Australia. Her expertise and research interests include apparel design, product development, fashion sustainability, textile recycling, green logistics in fashion, and intelligent textile materials. She is passionate about enhancing quality learning to prepare the next generation of fashion industry leaders to be change-makers, encouraging creative thinking, and cultivating partnerships between academia and industry. She is proficient in administrative and strategic planning for program growth and development. She has also been affiliated with corporate research projects such as design and development for renowned brands like 2XU Pty. Ltd., Australia, Cotton Inc.
