CURRICULUM/COURSE DEVELOPMENT AND TEACHING INNOVATIONS

2021 February to present, Arkin University of Creative Arts and Design, restructuring process at the English Preparatory School, the necessary Englishlanguage curriculum and syllabus, CPD, assessment and evaluation and qualityassurance  documents are being developed currently. I have planned and I have beenmonitoring development of the related documents as well as processesto prepare theuniversity for EAQUALS  accreditation.
        

2019-2020 Bahçeşehir Cyprus University, English Preparatory School, structuring anewly established English Preparatory School, developing English language curriculumand syllabus, revising evaluation and assessment processes at English PreparatorySchool, developing the necessary handbooks, documentation and processes forinternational accreditations.

2013-2014 Girne American University Foundation English School- manageda restructuring process at the English Foundation School, planned, monitored andcoordinated  EAQUALS and Edexcel Accreditation processes at FoundationEnglish School during  2012-2013 Academic Year and both accreditation processeswere achieved successfully.

2012 September to present– organized a number of teacher training workshopsfor Foundation   English School, English language teachers on syllabus design, foreignlanguage teaching methodology,  and assessment and evaluation. I also chaired andsupervised development of a new English language  teaching curriculum and syllabi aswell as assessment procedures and tests for the Foundation English  School.

2011-involved in the development of three sets of Quality Standards for the Ministryof National Education, Youth and Sports: Standards For Teaching and Learning,Standards For Teachers and  Standards For Principals as part of an EU funded Reformof Primary and Secondary Schools Project for the Turkish Cypriot Ministry of NationalEducation

2011 October– delivered a series of workshops on Educational Standards to Primary andSecondary  School Principals. Turkish Cypriot Ministry of National Education

2009-2011-chaired the board of English  Language Central Examinations at the TurkishMinistry of National Education.

2003- A member of the board who designed and developed a new “English LanguageCurriculum for Secondary Schools”. Turkish Cypriot Ministry of National Education.

I have travelled extensively and enjoyed meeting new  people with different background and experienced different cultures. Reading is my real passion.
