Hatice Asvaroğlu is a highly experienced, English language teacher, inspector, director of studies and lecturer. She obtained her BA degree in English Language Teaching from Gazi University in 1986 and her MA degree in Applied Linguistics in 2007. Currently, she is pursuing her Ph. D studies in English language teaching and she is waiting for publication to recieve her Ph. D degree. With respect to her professional background, she was employed as an English language teacher and vice-director at a variety of public secondary schools for twenty years. Additionally, she has been an English language inspector at the Board of the National Education, Inspection, Evaluation and Supervision, the Turkish Cypriot Ministry of education in Northern Cyprus for five years. After her retirement from the public service, she worked as the director of the English Preparatory School in two different local universities for nine years. Being a highly experienced English language teacher and having attended numerous in-service teacher training programs both in Northern Cyprus and abroad, she developed herself professionally particularly in curriculum and syllabus design and assessment and evaluation processes. Her main professional interest includes English language teacher training supervision and professional development, and Intercultural Communication. Apart from teaching, she takes part in a variety of different interests such as travelling, reading and cooking.
