She graduated from the Department of Visual communication design at Sooreh Art University. she worked as a graphic designer for high-profile advertising agencies. She completed her MA in Communication and Media Studies at Eastern Mediterranean University in Cyprus. She worked as a research assistant in the Faculty of Fine Arts and Visual Communication Design.
Roya Alagheband has won national and international honors for her academic works and papers, workshops, projects, and solo and group exhibitions. She has been a jury member at national and international events, such as ico-D and the Adobe Awards. In addition to her activities as an art director and senior graphic designer, She is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Communication and Media Studies.
