The opening of ARUCAD ART SPACE, the new communications office, exhibition and event venue of our University, will take place on August 1, 2018 Wednesday at 19.00 with Tim Brennan’s NEW + ORIGINAL WORK exhibition.
In NEW + ORIGINAL WORK Brennan brings together his own haiku, poetry, image making and archival documentation in what he terms as vishaiku to reinvent the convention of the artist retrospective. Over 80 of these works invite us to reflect on deep time, history, politics, art, journeying, ritual, space and place in a coherent and concise format. This is the first exhibition in what the artist plans to be an internationally developing tour. It is accompanied by a unique artist edition that involves a sequence of vishaiku postcards that bear a new critical essay by Heather Yeung.
