Arkin University of Creative Arts and Design (ARUCAD) continues to accept students for its master’s and doctoral Programmes for the Fall Semester of the 2023-2024 Academic Year. This year, the university will be accepting applications for the Artistic Competence Doctoral Programme for the first time.
ARUCAD Graduate Education and Research Institute is still accepting students for its master’s and doctoral programmes. Candidates can apply for three master’s Programmes in the fields of Art, Architectural Design, and Communication Studies, as well as three doctoral Programmes in Architecture, Art and Culture Management, and Artistic Competence.
Artistic Competence Programme to admit its first students this year.
The Artistic Competence Doctoral Programme will provide artists and designers who have completed their master’s education with an opportunity to develop their creative work and further enhance their artistic abilities. The programme, which has been created with an interdisciplinary vision, is practice-oriented and aims to allow students to present their works in an exhibition along with their theses upon completion of their education.
Speaking about the newly opened programme, ARUCAD Rector Prof. Dr. Asım Vehbi stated, “With our Artistic Competence Programme, we will impart the concept of art and design to candidates who wish to equip themselves in different art and design disciplines. It will be a comprehensive education process completed with both theoretical and practical courses. Candidates who aspire to have an academic career in the fields of art and design can apply to this programme, which is equivalent to a doctorate. Having this program at our university, ARUCAD, which focuses on art, design, and communication, is an important advantage for our region, being the first in Cyprus and one of only a few in Turkey.”
