The “Rivers in the Ocean” exhibition, consisting of multimedia works by Alev Adil and Aslı Bolayır, and curated by ARUCAD Faculty of Arts Assistant Professor Dr. Esra Plümer Bardak, was simultaneously opened at ARUCAD Art Space in the north of Nicosia and at the Korai Project Space in the south. This unique selection, exhibited in two different venues, offered viewers a parallel and complementary art experience. The exhibition addressed themes such as global issues, the contrast between localities, and the ontological and metaphysical aspects of water currents.
The “Rivers in the Ocean” book, which serves as a continuation of the exhibition, includes the themes addressed in the exhibition, photographs of the works, and articles by exhibition curator Asst. Prof. Dr. Esra Plümer Bardak and artists Alev Adil and Aslı Bolayır. The book, designed by ARUCAD Art and Culture Coordinator, Oya Silbery, delves into the themes explored in the exhibition and offers readers a comprehensive perspective.
