Atelier Arkın’s Painting and Ceramics Exhibition At Kyrenia Municipality Art Gallery!

The year-end exhibition of Atelier Arkın, the Lifelong Education Centre of ARUCAD, was opened to visitors with a cocktail held at Girne Municipality Art Gallery on Friday, 19 November.

 

Operating as ARUCAD’s Lifelong Education Centre, Atelier Arkın brought the first trainee exhibition together with art lovers with a cocktail held at Girne Municipality Art Gallery on Friday, 19 November at 19.00. Expressing his pride in ARUCAD in the opening speech of the night, Founder Erbil Arkın said, “I would like to thank our teachers, trainees and Girne Municipality, who brought this exhibition to life.”

Speaking at the opening cocktail attended by many people from amongthe island’s artists and general public, ARUCAD Rector Prof. Dr. Asım Vehbi said: “I would like to thank the art lovers and everyone who is interested in art, who joined us tonight, as in almost every art event organised by ARUCAD. It is a great honour for our University to see that ARUCAD’s efforts to keep art alive on the island, which it continues in line with its vision, come into being in this exhibition, and to train new artists and designers. I congratulate the success of the Atelier Arkın trainees, who have produced these works through great effort and wish them continued success.”

At the cocktail, Director of Atelier Arkın, Yusuf Baydal, expressed his excitement and gratitude for having the opportunity to exhibit their long-term work with the trainees in cooperation with ARUCAD and Girne Municipality. Baydal also thanked the ceramics and painting instructors who trained the trainees, Mümine Özdemirağ Yağ, Tülay Okan, Gülgün Elitez and Yılmaz Kastanbollu.

The exhibition, where Atelier Arkın’s works produced in the painting and ceramics courses were  displayed to the public, will be open to visitors until Wednesday, 24 November at the Girne Municipality Art Gallery. At the entrance to the exhibition, viewers are required to submit their AdaPass or Negative Antigen results for the last two days.
