The exhibition, ”Companions,” which brings together collage works by art historian-curator Esra Plümer Bardak and poems by political scientist Mehmet Ratip, is now on display at ARUCAD Art Space.
The exhibition, which represents the result of a collaboration that delves into themes such as poverty, loss, nature, and identity, unveiling the complexity of landscapes, different sedimentations, and scales, received significant attention on its opening night.
This collaboration consists of small-scale collage compositions or landscapes that evoke real, imaginary, or forgotten places, which are presented alongside accompanying poems. The exhibition also features a book containing the full text of the poems and images. Offering a captivating fusion of art and literature, the exhibition invites visitors to contemplate and explore the artists’ imagination.
The exhibition can be visited at ARUCAD Art Space in Lefkoşa until November 17, 2023.
