The Cyprus Turkish Green Crescent Association organised a seminar titled “Methods of Coping with Exam Anxiety” in Turkish and English at Arkın University of Creative Arts and Design (ARUCAD).
In the seminar held by Social Worker, Güney Necipoğlu and Green Crescent Clinical Psychologist,Ayten Yorulmaz, the main differences between anxiety and stress were discussed, as well as how anxiety due to exam stress should be managed.
“Bad study habits can be the cause of test anxiety. Starting to study for the exam in the last few days or hours is one of the main reasons for greatly increased anxiety,” said Necipoğlu, addingthat with better time management, anxiety can be prevented. In addition, the speakers shared the information that students are always able to receive free psychological and social service support from the Cyprus Turkish Green Crescent Association.
