A protocol has been signed between Arkın Creative Arts and Design University (ARUCAD) and Urgench State University for cooperation such as student exchange and double degree opportunities.
The protocol, was signed at the University’s Campus in Kyrenia by ARUCAD Rector Prof. Dr. Asım Vehbi and Urgench State University Rector Prof. Dr. Abdullaev Bakhrom Ismoilovich . The protocol, which aims to develop relations between the two universities, includes items such as determining joint academic programmes, conducting exchange programmes that will be valid for both the academic staff of the universities and students, offering double degree opportunities and providing graduate students with the opportunity to work.
With the protocol, which includes internship, education and exchange programmes for the students of both universities, it is aimed to increase the academic and scientific cooperation between the universities as well as cultural exchange between the students.
Urgench State University Rector, Prof. Dr. Abdullaev Bakhrom Ismoilovich, who also visited the workshop, studio and laboratories of the university, stated that ARUCAD, which provides field-oriented education in a boutique university concept, is a special university not only for Cyprus but also for the whole region. Stating that taking the first step is half of a journey, Ismoilovich said, “The signed protocol is of great importance for the youth of the two countries and I wish our cooperation to continue for many years.”
Stating that he is happy to host Urgench State University, one of the most important universities of Uzbekistan, Rector Prof. Dr. Asım Vehbi said, “Being an international university is an important aspect of ARUCAD’s vision. In this regard, just as in the number of our programmes and students, we proceed on the basis of quality, not quantity, and we take care to be selective when determining the institutions with which we make bilateral agreements. We want to cooperate with successful universities in similar fields. With the protocol signed today, we have made an important start. I hope that the cooperation between our two universities will increase in the future.”
