The exhibition, ’Multiple Possibilities’, consisting of the works of Arkın Creative Arts and Design University (ARUCAD) Ceramics Department faculty members and design masters, opened with a cocktail held at Girne Municipality Art Gallery on Tuesday, 20 September.
Original works by ARUCAD Ceramics Department Head Assist. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Elçin Sener, Assist. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Emre Çelikkol, Mümine Özdemirağ Yağlı, Yılmaz Kastonbollu and Mete Bahtiyar Karataş are featured.
In the exhibition, in addition to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Elçin Şener’s sculptural forms describing, “unique moments where the possibilities in her dreams intersect with divergent possibilities”, Assist. Assoc. Dr. Emre Çelikkol’s works – prepared with various artistic glass shaping methods are presented to the audience. While Mümine Özdemirağ Yağlı uses decorative techniques as a means of expression with ceramic materials, Mete Bahtiyar Karataş reflects the ‘instant stances and attitudes of human personas’ with glass materials. Yılmaz Kastanbollu, on the other hand, rediscovers the artistic expression possibilities of the potters’ wheel.
The exhibition, which brings together the striking works of five artists and ‘re-questions all possibilities regarding the past and the future’, will be open to the public at the Girne Municipality Art Gallery until Saturday, September 24, between 10:00 and 17:00.
