Within the scope of Open Flame Shaping Course and Workshop within the Faculty of Arts, our students develop their knowledge and skills in different design and artistic applications from jewellery to objects by using a blowtorch, mandrels and coloured glass rods. Students will personally witness the fascinating transformation of the objects they design under high temperature during the transition process of glass material from solid to liquid state. After our students learn to use the high-precision instruments in the workshop carefully with the forms they design, they can create unique works by by applying their newly acquired knowledge.
