ARUCAD Career Days Begin with Rasıh Reşat’s Seminar Titled “The Evolving Role of Journalism in the Digital Age”

Arkin University of Creative Arts and Design (ARUCAD) began its Career Days with the participation of Rasıh Reşat, Editor-in-Chief of Kanal T. In his seminar titled “The Evolving Role of Journalism in the Digital Age,” journalist Reşat shared his multifaceted experience in the media sector with ARUCAD students.

Speaking at the event held at the ARUCAD Conference Hall, Rasıh Reşat addressed the transformation from traditional media to digital platforms through the lens of historical and technological developments. Drawing from his extensive experience in both the United Kingdom and the northern part of Cyprus, he reflected on his work with international news organizations such as the BBC and The Independent. He emphasized the significance of universal journalistic principles and ethics, especially in times of crisis.

The seminar also highlighted the importance of graphic designers understanding core journalistic values, particularly in visual news design and content production. Reşat touched on the rise of civic journalism in the digital age, offering insights into how various layers of media production interact.

Moderated by Asst. Prof. Dr. Huri Yontucu from the Faculty of Communication and ARUCAD Career and Alumni Office Coordinator Simge Yorgancıoğlu, the event provided students with a broad perspective on the evolving media landscape.
