Stages
Located within the ARUCAD Bandabuliya Campus in Nicosia’s historic Bandabuliya, this stage hosts theatre plays, concerts, dance performances and talks. Shared with the Nicosia Turkish Municipality Theatre (LTB Theatre), it gives students the opportunity to gain professional stage experience working alongside experienced names from the industry. Situated in the heart of the city, the stage is a cultural hub connecting the university’s artistic production with the city and its community.
Located at the heart of the campus, the Courtyard Main Stage is ARUCAD’s principal event venue, hosting concerts, festivals, ceremonies and large-scale events. Supported by sound, lighting and stage infrastructure, this space accommodates a rich year-round programme ranging from student performances to guest artist shows.
Taking its name from the inscription ‘Dimotiki Agora’ — meaning ‘public market’ — on the historic building, the Agora Open-Air Stage is located at the rear of the Bandabuliya complex. With its stepped structure lined with viewing areas, reminiscent of ancient amphitheatres, the stage offers a distinctive open-air meeting point for concerts, performances, film screenings and community events. Carrying the spirit of the ancient agora into the present, it brings art and audiences together in an open, shared setting.
Distinguished by its grand staircase, the Art Gallery is an impressive space used primarily as an exhibition hall. Thanks to the natural staging possibilities offered by its architecture, the gallery also hosts performance art, talks, exhibition openings and interdisciplinary events. Bringing visual arts and performing arts together in a single space, this distinctive venue offers students the opportunity to share their work with audiences in different formats.
Located on the 1st floor of ARUCAD Information Centre, the Conference Hall covers an area of 230 square meters and has a capacity of 186 people. With its facilities such as backstage, control room, various professional microphones and halogen robot light system, the Conference Hall offers ARUCAD students a complete experience. Numerous interviews, meetings, seminars and similar events are held throughout the year in the hall, which can also be used as a movie theatre with its projection system.
