Arkin University of Creative Arts and Design (ARUCAD) has been accepted as an official member of the Turkic Universities Union (TÜRKÜNİB) during the 8th General Assembly Meeting held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. This milestone marks an important step in strengthening ARUCAD’s national and international academic collaborations.
The 8th General Assembly Meeting of the Turkic Universities Union, operating under the Organization of Turkic States, was held in Tashkent with the participation of rectors and representatives from numerous universities of member countries. ARUCAD’s membership to the Turkic Universities Union was unanimously approved by the participating universities.
Operating under the umbrella of the Organization of Turkic States, the Turkic Universities Union (TÜRKÜNİB) serves as a platform that promotes knowledge exchange, academic solidarity, and joint projects among its member institutions. Through this membership, ARUCAD will strengthen its relations with higher education institutions across the Turkic world, conduct joint research and development projects, organize academic and student exchange programs, and take an active role in symposiums, conferences, and cultural events. The university will also have the opportunity to enhance its regional and international visibility.
As a higher education institution specializing in art, design, and communication, ARUCAD aims to take an active role in curriculum alignment and project development processes with universities in the Turkic world. The university also seeks to encourage creative and interdisciplinary research projects, expand its academic and student network, and strengthen intercultural interaction—further establishing itself as an active actor in the regional education and art scene.
ARUCAD Rector Prof. Dr. Asım Vehbi expressed his gratitude to the Organization of Turkic States, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, the Turkic Universities Union, and all universities participating in the 8th General Assembly for their support. He emphasized that ARUCAD will continue to foster shared values with universities across the Turkic world, provide its students with opportunities through the Orhun Student Exchange Program, and further strengthen academic collaborations.
