Asst. Prof. Dr. Özgün Can Karaburun, faculty member at the Department of Acting at Arkin University of Creative Arts and Design (ARUCAD), took the stage at the 4th Borçka International Theatre Festival with the one-person play “Who Are You and Where the Hell Are You, Mr. Hilmi”, written by Cansu Atılgan Pazvantoğlu.
Directed by Fatih Pazvantoğlu, the play takes the audience on an introspective journey through the fragmented memory of Mehmet, the sole survivor of an explosion at an auto repair shop. Blending sharp black humor with psychological depth, the performance explores themes of identity, masculinity, and conscience, while revealing the fragile side of the socially constructed “respected tough guy” figure. The play features songs by Adanalı Ayhan, Samet Burak Ay, and Neşet Ertaş.
The performance was staged as part of the festival program held between 19–26 October 2025 in Borçka, Artvin. Bringing together theatre ensembles from Turkey and abroad, the festival serves as a significant platform for diverse theatrical expressions and creative encounters.
