An archaeological site visit was conducted to the Mersinlik and Kaplıca regions

As part of ARHA 104 “Cypriot and Anatolian Archaeology II”, a guided site visit was conducted to the Mersinlik and Kaplıca areas, focusing on the Hellenistic and Roman periods. The visit included the exploration of a tomb, offering students the opportunity to engage directly with archaeological remains in their historical context.

Guided by Archaeology Department faculty member Prof. Dr. Marko Kiessel, the trip provided valuable insights into the material culture, burial practices, and landscape of the period, supporting students’ understanding through on-site observation and discussion.
