“Saint Hilarion Through the Lens” Photography Workshop and Field Trip Held at ARUCAD

Arkin University of Creative Arts and Design (ARUCAD) Department of Photography organised the photography workshop and field trip “Saint Hilarion Through the Lens” on May 20, 2026.

Held within the historical and natural setting of Saint Hilarion, the event provided participants with practical experience in visual storytelling, observation, and creative photographic production. Throughout the trip, students explored composition techniques through the site’s architectural structure, natural lighting conditions, and environmental elements.

The workshop was led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Farshad Asgaikia from the ARUCAD Department of Photography. Participants worked on framing, visual narrative construction, and conveying atmosphere through photographic imagery.

The session also included discussions on the technical and aesthetic dimensions of photography within historical and natural environments. Participants examined different perspectives of Saint Hilarion, interpreting the site’s visual potential through creative approaches.

Open to participants with basic photography knowledge, the event contributed to the development of students’ observation, composition, and visual storytelling skills through hands-on practice.
