Boundaries, the graduation project of Sound Arts and Design senior student Baran Sakar, is an interdisciplinary performance that brings together live drumming, electronic sound, movement, and repurposed texts from Samuel Beckett.
Addressing themes of cultural identity and political decomposition that restrict people in different ways, the project reflects on ongoing social realities in Cyprus. Emphasizing collaboration, the performance brings together improvisational practices and individual artistic approaches from different disciplines within a shared framework.
