ARUCAD’s Three-Day Summer Fest Concludes on a High Note

Summer Fest, organized by Arkin University of Creative Arts and Design (ARUCAD), was held with strong participation on 10–12 June 2026. Taking place over three days at the Main Campus in Kyrenia and the Bandabuliya Campus in Nicosia, the festival brought together students, academics, and visitors through music, dance, performance arts, games, and social activities.

The festival opened on 10 June at the Main Campus with a “Masquerade Ball.” The event, featuring masks and creative costumes, created a vibrant and colorful atmosphere.

On the second day, the festivities continued at ARUCAD’s Bandabuliya Campus in Nicosia. The programme began with dance performances by students from the Department of Modern Dance. This was followed by “Sampling 101,” a course recital presented by students from the Department of Sound Arts Design, introducing audiences to electronic music and sound production processes. Later in the day, performances by Troya and Isgartalar on the Agora Open Stage attracted considerable attention, while “Improv Jam Featuring Bandabuliya Modern Ensemble,” held under the guidance of Dr. Ataman Kınış and Lecturer Yıldız Güventürk, brought music and movement together in an improvised stage experience.

The programme at the Bandabuliya Campus concluded with an audio-visual performance titled “Tales from the Future,” in which Associate Professor Dr. İnal Bilsel, Head of ARUCAD’s Department of Sound Arts Design, performed pieces from his album of the same name. Combining electronic music, visual storytelling, and an experimental approach, the performance was one of the highlights of the festival.

On 12 June, the final day of the festival, the Main Campus in Kyrenia hosted a series of special events organized in collaboration with ARUCAD and Technoport. Following a day filled with yoga sessions, games, and various activities, Rüya, Morningstar, Madame, and The Gang took the stage. The events, which attracted significant interest from both the university community and external participants, provided an energetic and memorable finale to Summer Fest.
