An Inspiring Project by ARUCAD Students: Fun for Kids, Kindness for Adults

The first event of the “Kindness as Small as a Snowball Project,” developed by students of the Creative Presentation course in the New Media and Communication Department at Arkin University of Creative Arts and Design (ARUCAD) in collaboration with the SOS Children’s Village Association, will take place on Saturday, January 11, at the Lapta Alsancak Çamlıbel (LAÇ) Municipality Freedom National Park - The Heaven Restaurant & Cafe (Alsancak Park).

This social responsibility project, aimed at fostering community solidarity and bringing hope and happiness into children’s lives, is organized by senior students of ARUCAD’s New Media and Communication Department. The event stands out as the largest project carried out for the SOS Children’s Village Association as part of a course. All proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the SOS Children’s Village Association.

Special Games for Children Aged 4-10

The event, organized as part of the “Kindness as Small as a Snowball Project,” will offer creative workshops, treasure hunts, bean toss games, and many other surprise activities designed for children aged 4-10. Throughout the event, children will enjoy innovative and non-traditional games, allowing them to have fun and socialize.

 Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nuran Öze, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Communication at ARUCAD and the instructor of the ‘Creative Presentation’ course, stated:

"The ‘Kindness as Small as a Snowball Project’ is a valuable initiative where our students transform their creativity and communication skills into happiness for children. Every moment we can touch the lives of children becomes a source of great strength for us. The involvement of the community in this project further strengthens our hopes for the future."

Cemil Hafız, Fundraising and Public Relations Manager of the SOS Children’s Village Association, expressed:

"This meaningful project, carried out with ARUCAD students, provides us with immense morale and support. The donations collected during the event bring hope and security to our children’s future. The wave of kindness created by the ‘Kindness as Small as a Snowball Project’ enhances the sense of unity and solidarity within our community. Event Ticket Proceeds Will Be Donated to the SOS Children’s Village

All proceeds from game ticket sales will be donated to the SOS Children’s Village Association to support children’s education and help them achieve a better future. The event, which will start at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 11, is open to the public with free admission. Those who wish to participate in the games can purchase tickets, gaining access to the surprise activities prepared for children while also contributing to the SOS Children’s Village.
