Faculty member of the Department of Acting at Arkın University of Creative Arts and Design (ARUCAD), Asst. Prof. Dr. Özgün Can Karaburun, brought his play “About Seven or Eight People” to audiences in Eskişehir. The play, co-written by Karaburun and directed by him, was staged at two different venues in the city.
Centered on the story of Kazım Can, a young man pursuing his dream of becoming an actor, “About Seven or Eight People” unfolds not through its protagonist, but through the narratives of those who know him. Each character shares a memory of Kazım Can while unintentionally revealing their own inner world and personal confrontations. With its layered storytelling, intimate confessions, and a fluid boundary between stage and reality, the play invites the audience to reflect on both the narrated character and the narrators themselves.
Directed by Asst. Prof. Dr. Özgün Can Karaburun, the production stands out with its character-driven structure and polyphonic narrative, offering viewers a compelling theatrical experience shaped by multiple perspectives.
