Arkın University of Creative Arts and Design (ARUCAD) has taken another significant step in expanding its international collaboration network by signing two new academic agreements in Baku. These cooperation agreements, signed during ARUCAD Rector Prof. Dr. Asım Vehbi’s visit to Azerbaijan between November 18–20, mark a strategic development that strengthens the university’s global partnerships in art- and design-focused education.
As part of this initiative, ARUCAD signed two separate agreements with the Azerbaijan Academy of Fine Arts and the Hungarian University of Fine Arts. These agreements include student and faculty mobility, joint academic production, and cultural collaboration. The meeting of the Union of Rectors of Turkish-Speaking Countries in Applied Arts, attended during the visit, provided the foundation for establishing these new partnerships.
Student Exchange and Joint Academic Programs
The cooperation agreement with the Azerbaijan Academy of Fine Arts includes undergraduate and graduate-level student exchange, joint courses, short-term academic programs, workshops, symposiums, and faculty exchange. This agreement enables students to enrich their educational experience by engaging with different academic approaches and gaining an international perspective.
The cooperation agreement with the Hungarian University of Fine Arts encompasses the development of joint educational models, two-way student mobility, organization of joint exhibitions and cultural events, and the sharing of creative projects. Under these agreements, students will be able to attend courses at both institutions without paying additional tuition fees.
Strengthening Applied and Cultural Production
Both agreements cover not only theoretical programs but also applied studio courses, interdisciplinary project development processes, and professional art activities. This allows students to enhance their creative practice within an international context. Through these collaborations, ARUCAD students will have the opportunity to actively participate in exhibitions, workshops, project work, and academic events in different countries.
ARUCAD’s International Network Continues to Grow
As a university specializing in art, design, and communication, ARUCAD continues to prepare its students for a global art and design ecosystem through collaborations with creative education institutions around the world. These two new cooperation agreements signed in Azerbaijan strengthen ARUCAD’s international visibility while offering new learning, production, and collaboration opportunities for its students and academic staff across Europe and the Caucasus region
