Asst. Prof. Dr. Ali Çağan Uzman, a faculty member of the Department of New Media and Communication at Arkın Creative Arts and Design University (ARUCAD), is serving as a Behavioral Sciences and Lead Communication Specialist within the scope of the project titled “Consultancy Services Project for Capacity Development and Awareness Raising for Sustainable Public Procurement and for Increasing Energy Efficiency in Households and Buildings.” The project is coordinated by the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of the Republic of Türkiye, supported by the European Union (EU) and the World Bank, and carried out in cooperation with STANTEC—operating in engineering and consultancy—and ANKON, which provides consultancy services for public and private sector projects.
Aimed at strengthening energy efficiency policies, the project is implemented within a consultancy framework that includes the design and production of content to improve household behaviors for increased energy efficiency; analysis, evaluation, and capacity-building activities to enhance energy efficiency in residences and buildings; and the promotion of energy-efficient public procurement practices. The project seeks to expand the adoption of energy efficiency at both individual and public levels.
Within the scope of the project, Uzman participated—representing ARUCAD—in meetings and workshop activities held between December 2–4, 2025. Throughout the process, he contributed to the development of awareness initiatives supporting energy efficiency at the household level and to efforts aimed at strengthening an energy efficiency perspective in public procurement, in line with behavior science– and communication-oriented approaches.
