BIOMORPHS Exhibition by ARUCAD Graduate Asu Bağseven Opens in Kyrenia

The solo exhibition BIOMORPHS, prepared as a graduation project by Asu Bağseven, a graduate of the Plastic Arts Department of Arkin University of Creative Arts and Design (ARUCAD) for the 2025–2026 Academic Year Fall Semester, opened to art lovers with an opening cocktail held on Friday evening, January 30, at the Kyrenia Public Library Ziya Rızkı Exhibition Hall.

The exhibition focuses on the biomorphological relationships between the human body and the natural world. Through visual and conceptual connections established between human anatomy and forms such as roots, shells, textures, and bone structures, Bağseven emphasizes that life is grounded in a shared material origin.

Bringing together the disciplines of painting, sculpture, and installation, BIOMORPHS invites viewers to engage in a bodily relationship with space through hybrid forms that question the permeability of boundaries between the body and its surroundings. Through the concept of “topophilia,” the exhibition aims to encourage viewers to reconsider their own existence in relation to the space and ecosystem they inhabit.

Asu Bağseven’s graduation exhibition BIOMORPHS can be visited at the Kyrenia Public Library Ziya Rızkı Exhibition Hall until February 7, 2026.
