Emre Çelikkol’s Solo Exhibition “Journey” Opened at ARUCAD Art Space

The solo exhibition Journey by Asst. Prof. Dr. Emre Çelikkol, faculty member at the Ceramics Department of Arkin University of Creative Arts and Design (ARUCAD), opened with a cocktail reception on the evening of Tuesday, July 29, at ARUCAD Art Space.
Working with materials such as glass and ceramic—both fragile and resilient—Çelikkol presents emotions shaped around themes of belonging, separation, and new beginnings. At the heart of the exhibition lies the motif of a bird, symbolizing not only freedom but also exile, solitude, and the longing to return home.
Tracing the emotional path of a voluntary or involuntary beginning, Journey offers deeply personal and universally shared reflections on the inner self. The delicate nature of glass and ceramic powerfully conveys feelings of transformation, rupture, and reconstruction.
The exhibitionJourneywill be on view until August 22, 2025, at ARUCAD Art Space, located on Müftü Raci Efendi Street in Nicosia.
