We are hosting Lucille Toth as a guest teacher in the CDNC 307 course. Toth will deliver a workshop and presentation on community and activism in dance, sharing insights from her interdisciplinary research. Trained in contemporary dance in France, her work connects dance with literature, medical humanities, gender studies, and migration studies. She is the author of Danses et pandémies. Du SIDA à la COVID-19, in which she examines relationships between movement, contagion, and contemporary cultural and artistic metaphors. The workshop is open to all dance students.
