Modern Dance Workshop with Salvatore Cataldo Held at ARUCAD

The “Modern Dance Workshop: Independent Career Pathways” was held at ARUCAD on Friday, 21 November 2025, in BA SPE03. Dancer, actor, and movement coach Salvatore Cataldo met with students as part of the Sharing Experiences course, sharing insights into freelance working models in modern dance and his international stage experience. Drawing on his professional background across Europe, the Middle East, and the United States, Cataldo presented his creative approach that brings together modern dance, physical theatre, improvisation, and cross-cultural performance practices. Throughout the workshop, students had the opportunity to reflect on both individual creativity and collective production processes. In his talk, Cataldo emphasized the importance of the relationship a performer builds with their body and with the people they work with, noting that a sense of trust is essential for freedom of expression on stage. Moderated by Sen. Ins. Yıldız Güventürk, the workshop concluded with questions from students.
