“Roots and Routes” Exhibition by ARUCAD Graduates at Art Rooms

The “Roots and Routes” selection, featuring works by graduates of the Arkin University of Creative Arts and Design (ARUCAD) Department of Plastic Arts, was presented to art enthusiasts with an opening cocktail held at Art Rooms Gallery in Kyrenia on the evening of Tuesday, October 21. The exhibition’s opening drew great interest from ARUCAD academics, students, graduates, and many members of the art community.

Compiled from works previously exhibited in graduation shows by ARUCAD’s Plastic Arts graduates, the selection brings together various techniques and modes of artistic expression. In this sense, the exhibition offers those who missed the original graduation shows an opportunity to view the works again, while also providing a renewed look into the artistic processes and individual narratives of young artists.

The exhibition features works by Elif Aksoy, Buse Çeft, İnci Tanem Erdem, Nevin Ersoy, Rana Hocanın, Şirin Gazi, Çiğde Kahvecioğlu, Hasan Kayıplar, Nina Nazarova, and Sevgi Songur, produced through diverse techniques and forms of expression. Encompassing painting, installation, and mixed media, these works collectively reflect the interdisciplinary perspectives and individual creativity of ARUCAD’s Plastic Arts graduates.

Curated by Dize Kükrer and coordinated by Buse Çeft, the “Roots and Routes” exhibition was realized through a collaboration between ARUCAD and Art Rooms Gallery. This partnership, as a reflection of ARUCAD’s ongoing support for young artists, reunites the paths of its graduates and brings their works together with art lovers once again.

The exhibition is open to the public and free to visit at Art Rooms Gallery until November 7.
