“Unstitched: A Creative Reconstruction” Workshop Held at ARUCAD

The workshop titled “Unstitched: A Creative Reconstruction – A Creative Studio Open to All Bodies and Identities,” organized by the Textile and Fashion Design Department at ARUCAD, was held on Friday, 16 January 2026, at AB SIN 01.
The workshop approached garment reconstruction as an inclusive and creative design practice. Working with existing garments, participants rethought form, fit, and identity, transforming clothing into new wearable expressions through hands-on experimentation.
Led by Sen. Ins. Berke Uluşan, a faculty member of the Textile and Fashion Design Department, the workshop explored reconstruction as both a technical and conceptual process. Discussions and practices focused on creating space for diverse bodies and identities while emphasizing sustainable approaches to design.
Through its practice-based structure, the workshop offered participants the opportunity to experience fashion design as an open-ended, adaptive, and transformative process.
