Arkin University of Creative Arts and Design (ARUCAD) organized a “Meet the Alumni” seminar for first-year students at the ARUCAD Conference Hall. The event brought together graduates of the Faculty of Communication’s Digital Game Design Department, Tatiana Kozlova and Marina Nikitina, with current students.
During the seminar, the alumni shared their experiences as ARUCAD students, the challenges they encountered throughout their education, and the strategies they developed to overcome those difficulties. The event aimed to encourage direct experience-sharing while highlighting the connections between academic life and professional practice.
In their presentations, Kozlova and Nikitina emphasized the importance of making effective use of the opportunities and facilities offered by the university. They noted that academic success should not be measured solely through classroom performance and stressed the value of project-based learning, teamwork, and interdisciplinary collaboration in professional development.
The speakers explained that collaborative projects not only strengthen technical and creative skills but also help students build professional networks after graduation. They highlighted that relationships formed during university years can provide significant advantages in future career paths.
Another key theme of the seminar was the importance of repetition and continuous practice. The alumni encouraged students to continue developing the knowledge and skills gained during the academic year throughout the summer break, warning that competencies may weaken over time without regular practice.
The “Meet the Alumni” seminar at ARUCAD concluded with a question-and-answer session following the presentations.
