Arkin University of Creative Arts and Design (ARUCAD) was ranked among the world's top 400 universities in Sustainable Cities and Communities in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2026. The University also secured a place among the world's top 600 universities in Gender Equality, Decent Work and Economic Growth, Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, and Reduced Inequalities.
According to the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2026, ARUCAD was recognised among the world's leading universities in five different areas aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. The University ranked 5th among universities in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and 58th among universities in Türkiye and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus combined.
ARUCAD was placed in the 301–400 band globally for Sustainable Cities and Communities, positioning the University among the world's top 400 institutions in this category. In addition, ARUCAD achieved rankings within the 401–600 band globally for Gender Equality, Decent Work and Economic Growth, Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, and Reduced Inequalities.
The THE Impact Rankings are regarded as one of the most comprehensive international rankings in the field of sustainability, assessing universities' performance in education, research, societal impact and governance against the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
