Arkin University of Creative Arts and Design (ARUCAD) Rector Prof. Dr. Asım Vehbi issued a message on the occasion of World Art Day on April 15th.
Speaking on the occasion of World Art Day, celebrated annually on April 15th with various events worldwide, Vehbi drew attention to the cultural and social role of art.
Vehbi, in his message published under the title "Art Carries Culture and Builds the Future," stated the following:
"Art is not merely an aesthetic production field; it is a powerful form of expression that carries the memory of societies, transmits their cultural heritage to the present, and guides the future. Every work of art that has reached us from the past is a reflection of experiences, values, and identities.
Today, in a rapidly changing world, the role of art is gaining even more importance. Contrary to the idea that technology will replace human creativity, art will always continue to draw nourishment from the essence of humanity. When used correctly, technology is not something that diminishes the power of art; on the contrary, it expands it, opens new fields of expression, and makes creativity more visible. Art is not only a force that preserves the past; it is also a force that builds the future by reinterpreting it.
On the occasion of April 15th, World Art Day, I congratulate all artists and art workers who believe in the transformative power of art on this meaningful day."
