A comprehensive protocol has been signed between Arkın Creative Arts and Design University (ARUCAD) and the Cyprus Turkish Medical Association (KTTB) to enhance and expand collaboration in the fields of education, research, and community service. This protocol aims to bring together the academic, cultural, and social expertise of both institutions, strengthening mutual knowledge and resource sharing while fostering cooperation in projects that benefit society.
The protocol, signed by ARUCAD Rector Prof. Dr. Asım Vehbi and KTTB President Prof. Dr. Ceyhun Dalkan, outlines the principles of the scientific, social, cultural, artistic, and educational activities to be jointly carried out by both institutions. In accordance with mutual agreement and available resources, the protocol envisions collaboration in various fields, including cultural activities, exhibitions, conferences, seminars, other academic meetings, and specialized technical or administrative programs. Additionally, KTTB members will be granted a 50% scholarship and special quota privileges in ARUCAD’s undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral programs.
Speaking at the protocol signing ceremony, ARUCAD Rector Prof. Dr. Asım Vehbi stated, “It is a great honor for us to host the Cyprus Turkish Medical Association here. As a university focused on art, design, and communication, this is also a first for us. The field of medicine, much like art, is present in every aspect of life. With our seminar titled ‘Dr. Fazıl Küçük, the Healing of a Society, Inspired Art,’ we hosted a significant event that brought together art and medicine. On this occasion, I hope that our cooperation protocol with the Cyprus Turkish Medical Association will pave the way for impactful projects and joint efforts. I also extend my best wishes to all our physician friends on the occasion of March 14th Medicine Day and Medicine Week.”
KTTB President Prof. Dr. Ceyhun Dalkan expressed his gratitude, saying, “As physicians, we sincerely appreciate your kind words. Medicine is a highly stressful profession. Some of our colleagues turn to art as a way to cope with this stress. Recently, we organized an event showcasing the works of physician artists. I hope that we can hold our next exhibition in collaboration with ARUCAD, further strengthening such events.”
The activities planned under the protocol aim to contribute to the development of education and culture within society, reaching wider audiences and increasing public awareness.
