ARUCAD’s Asst. Prof. Dr. Burçin Saltık Participated in the “Creative Touch to the Economy Panel”

Organized by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Creative Industries Council and hosted by the Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce (KTTO), the "Creative Touch to the Economy Panel" was held on January 17, 2025, at the Mustafa Çağatay Conference Hall in the KTTO Nicosia Building. Asst. Prof. Dr. Burçin Saltık, a faculty member of the Industrial Design Department at Arkın University of Creative Arts and Design (ARUCAD), participated as a speaker in the second session of the event.
In the second session of the panel, Asst. Prof. Dr. Burçin Saltık discussed the impact of design on economic growth and the potential of creative industries. In her presentation, she emphasized the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration and the role of partnerships between universities and the private sector in generating creative solutions. Additionally, she shared examples of successful projects carried out by companies in the market and how these projects gained value through design.
The panel was held in two sessions. The first session focused on the contributions of creative industries to economic growth, with insights from experts across various sectors. The second session provided an in-depth discussion on the role of design in the economy, university-industry collaborations, and successful projects. The event concluded with a Q&A session.
