ARUCAD Research Center founded in 2018, continues its activities in the fields of Art, Design and Mediterranean Culture in Cyprus and internationally. First of all, a Research Library has been established in order for researchers, students and those interested in the two communities of Cyprus to access scientific publications on art, design, and the cultural heritage of the Mediterranean. Many publications in different languages from the fields of archeology, anthropology, history, art, art history, and design allow the cultural heritage of the ancient Mediterranean and Cyprus to be researched. The foundation of the Research Library was founded by researcher Prof. Dr. Latife Summerer who has created special publication collection consisting of approximately 2000 books and journals and donated to ARUCAD in the 2018-2019 Academic Year. Starting from 2020, ARUCAD Research Center is led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Ehsan Daneshyar with research focus on the fields of Art, Design and Communication well as in the other branches of Social Sciences and Fine Arts. In this sense, the Research Center continues its efforts to publish a new academic journal, namely “ARUCAD Journal”.

ARUCAD Research Center is involved in interdisciplinary research activities in the fields of art, design and communication, with the intention of contributing to cultural and intellectual life, locally, regionally and globally. Activities are undertaken through collaboration and projects with public and private sector institutions and organizations, and disseminated by way of local and international conferences, congresses, symposiums, seminars, panels and exhibitions. The center presents the outputs of these research and studies in the form of books, reports, journals, presentations and bulletins to the local and international audience. In the direction of our vision, we aim to reach out to researchers, academics and professionals working in the related fields informing them about our interdisciplinary research activities. We wish to contribute to the world of science and the international academic community with both completed research and future works.
