Theatre artist and curator Fatih Gençkal will share his artistic experience through his work Smuggled Tea Time (Kaçak Çay Saati).
The project originated in 2020 when Gençkal met artist Mustafa Zeren during the Diyarbakır leg of the Daire Artist-in-Residence Program. Their collaboration developed into Kaçak Çay Performansı, which was later presented in Istanbul, Izmir, and Diyarbakır, and subsequently at festivals in Amsterdam, Berlin, and Brussels. In 2025, supported by Moussem and Monty/Platform 0090, the artists created Smuggled Tea Time in Belgium. Following its premiere at Kaaitheater Brussels, the work was invited to festivals in Marseille, Istanbul, and Ankara, and continues its international journey.
The event will be moderated by Instructor Şafak Ersözlü from the Department of Acting and will be held in Turkish.
