Arkin University of Creative Arts and Design (ARUCAD) Department of Textile and Fashion Design hosted the international opportunities session “Pathways to a Global Design Career” on May 20, 2026.
The session explored international academic and professional opportunities within the fields of fashion and design, focusing on creative education models, industry collaborations, and career development pathways in the global design industry.
Evelina Scrivani, Senior Manager of International Partnerships and Academic Processes at Domus Academy, introduced Domus Academy’s educational approach, its close relationship with industry, and the significance of Milan within the global design landscape. She highlighted that design education is not only an academic process but also a dynamic experience shaped by industry engagement and interdisciplinary collaboration. Particular emphasis was placed on the importance of project-based learning developed in partnership with real companies.
The session also featured Berke Uluşan, ARUCAD Textile and Fashion Design Department member and Domus Academy graduate, who shared insights from his experiences studying and living in Milan. Uluşan discussed the value of working alongside students from diverse cultural and disciplinary backgrounds, emphasising how international education environments contribute to creative development and professional networking opportunities.
Throughout the event, students gained information about exchange programs, postgraduate study opportunities, international collaborations, and the global opportunities offered by design education. Milan’s active role in the fashion and design industries was highlighted as a key factor in enabling students to build direct connections with professional networks.
