Practical Archaeology Training Held on ARUCAD Campus

As part of the ARHA 102 – Methods and Theories in Archaeology course at Arkin University of Creative Arts and Design (ARUCAD), a practical training session was conducted on campus.

The “dry excavation” and measuring exercise took place in front of the library, providing students with hands-on experience in fundamental archaeological field methods. During the session, students practiced site setup, measurement techniques, and basic data collection processes.

Supporting theoretical knowledge with practical application, the training contributed to students’ understanding of archaeological methodologies while helping them develop essential fieldwork skills.
