Media and Communication Studies

The Doctoral Programme in Media and Communication Studies is an academic programme that aims to examine in depth the dynamic relationships between media, communication, and society through an interdisciplinary understanding. Designed for students aiming for an academic career, the Doctoral Programme in Media and Communication Studies covers various courses that provide in-depth knowledge in this field. Courses offered in the programme include Advanced Research Methods and Scientific Ethics, Media, Culture, and Society, Digital Sociology, Digitalisation and the Surveillance Society, Consumer Society, Media Economics, Philosophy of Communication, Current Debates in Communication Studies, and New Applications in Design.
The programme provides students with a solid foundation in media and communication theories and research methods. In this context, topics such as media analysis, digital communication, and media ethics contribute to students’ academic and professional development by providing a broad perspective.
