Seminar on “The Production Process, Challenges, and Proper Management of Visual Content in Corporate Settings” Held at ARUCAD

Organized by the Department of New Media and Communication at Arkin University of Creative Arts and Design (ARUCAD), the seminar titled “The Production Process, Challenges, and Proper Management of Visual Content in Corporate Settings” took place on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at DA CLA02. The guest speaker was Ozan Çuvalcıoğlu, former team member at Meta’s Portugal office and current International Sponsorship Coordinator at SOS Children’s Villages TRNC. The session was moderated by Asst. Prof. Dr. Huri Yontucu.

Throughout the seminar, key topics such as content production in the digital media industry, advertising strategies, and platform management were addressed through the lens of Çuvalcıoğlu’s professional experiences at Meta. Attendees gained insight into the application and hiring processes at the company, internal workflows, and digital consultancy practices tailored to diverse client portfolios. He also elaborated on best practices in corporate content creation and how advertising campaigns are effectively planned and managed in alignment with target audiences.

The seminar further explored how user complaints are handled and how content is monitored to ensure compliance with platform guidelines. Çuvalcıoğlu explained Meta’s advertising restrictions, content policies, and the operational logic of its algorithms, illustrating how algorithms influence user behavior and shape content visibility with practical examples.

In the final part of the seminar, Elon Musk’s “free speech” approach was critically discussed within the framework of media ethics. A thoughtful debate was held on how platforms balance content moderation with user safety, encouraging participants to reflect on this timely and evolving issue.
