Şevki Usta Discussed Data-Driven Marketing Approaches at ARUCAD

At Arkin University of Creative Arts and Design, a seminar titled “Data-Driven Marketing Approaches in the Digital Era” was held on April 7, 2026, at FM-CLA01. Şevki Usta, Head of ARUCAD Data Systems Office, met with students as part of the ILET108 – Digital Marketing course. Moderated by Dr. Ahmet İyici, the session focused on the strategic role of data in digital marketing.

The seminar explored the transformation of raw data into meaningful insights and strategic decisions through real-world examples. Şevki Usta emphasized that digital marketers should not only know how to use tools, but also develop the ability to interpret and analyze the data generated through these platforms.

Throughout the session, students gained valuable insights into evaluating digital campaign performance beyond surface-level metrics. The discussion highlighted the importance of analyzing user behavior, understanding key performance indicators such as KPIs and conversion rates, and building marketing strategies based on data-driven decision-making.

Key topics included campaign optimization (SEO and SEM), audience analysis, performance measurement, data reporting, and the logic behind analytical tools. Şevki Usta also shared examples from data management projects, demonstrating how social media analytics and web traffic measurement can significantly impact a brand’s direction.

The seminar’s central message emphasized the shift from intuition-based marketing to data-driven approaches. As Şevki Usta highlighted, “Data is the new creativity, and knowledge is power,” leaving students with a strong perspective on the future of digital marketing.
