What Keeps Mankind Alive? premiered at Bandabuliya Stage on 10 June.
Created as a collaborative end-of-year production by the first graduating students of ARUCAD’s Acting, Contemporary Dance, and Sound Arts Design programmes, the performance drew inspiration from the works of Bertolt Brecht and Kurt Weill, offering a critical reflection on the social and political realities of our time.
Bringing together theatre, movement, music, and visual design, the production revisited Brecht’s enduring question: What keeps mankind alive?
