As part of the “Game for Good” project conducted by the Digital Game Design Department at Arkin University of Creative Arts and Design (ARUCAD), an educational visit was held on May 6, 2026, to SOS Children’s Village Nicosia and HASDER in the Walled City.
Organised under the coordination of Head of the Digital Game Design Department Yunus Luckinger and moderated by Ali Çağan Uzman, the event brought together internship students to observe the real-world impact of socially driven projects.
During the visit, students explored how the “Game for Good” approach can be integrated with Cypriot culture and social responsibility. The experience provided insights into how social impact can be incorporated into game development processes, particularly in terms of content creation, user experience, and meaningful engagement.
With a total of 25 participants, the activity supported students in reinforcing their theoretical knowledge through field experience, highlighting that game design is not only a technical practice but also a powerful tool for creating social awareness.
